What we Do

At the Centre for Forests and Climate Change, we focus on nature conservation projects through research, conceptual, strategic, and technical consultancy. We also carry out an integrated management of protected areas by strengthening governance structures C mechanisms such as human wildlife conflict management and anti-poaching systems.

We advise nature management and biodiversity conservation through valuation through the application of wildlife survey techniques. We also use the management of sustainable financing mechanisms such as REDD+ and payment for ecosystem services (PES). Through these mechanisms, we also promote and support socio- economic development based on sustainable forest management by developing ecotourism potentials and the value chains of non-timber forest products. Our work also encompasses the development and implementation of human capacity development and awareness creation across the various stakeholders involved in ecosystem governance.
